The general surgery practice specializes in an array of procedures, including colon, hernia, and breast surgery. The practice also does bariatric surgeries (weight loss surgeries), including the gastric sleeve. Most procedures at Odessa General Surgery Robotics are done through small incisions, using either laparoscopic or robotic surgery tools and techniques.

Odessa General Surgery Robotics also performs colonoscopies to evaluate and treat conditions affecting the colon (large intestine).

After earning her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in True Blue, Grenada, Dr. Birungi completed her surgical residency at State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
